July 8-19, 2026
Indiana University South Bend
Eligibility and Application
Advanced violin, viola, and cello students and pre-formed string quartets ages 15-24 are encouraged to apply.
Applicants who are accepted into the festival will receive a full scholarship covering tuition, room, and board thanks to the generous support of Joan and Yatish Joshi.
To complete your application, you must provide video recordings of two contrasting works. At least one should be solo, and if possible, one should be a recording of you in a chamber ensemble. Please make sure the videos are accessible by anyone with the link - preferably an unlisted or public (not private) YouTube link. If applicable, please indicate which part you are playing.
A deposit of $600 is required to secure your place at the festival. After notification of acceptance, instructions will be sent on how to submit the deposit. A full refund of the deposit will be given following the successful completion of the program. Travel to and from the festival will be the responsibility of the participants. Participants must arrive on July 8, 2026 and plan to depart on July 19, 2026.
Participants will be placed in string ensembles based on their application materials. Applicants can request to play as a pre-existing group. Members of pre-formed groups must each submit individual applications.
Application deadline: March 1st, 2026
